About ironchan

A collection is a set of media you own. Photos and video you upload, and images and video you generate. It's private. You choose what is shared with the rest of ironchan. You can also lock collections with a pattern or hide them so they are invisible until you enter passcode that opens them.

A circle is a room you share into. Some are public and listed in the directory, some are discoverable but ask for a passcode or approval, and some are not listed anywhere, you have to know the moderator. Whatever you share into a circle can be unshared.

You can also create public links for images and videos, so folks not using ironchan can access what you send. The link is revocable, and it stops working the moment you say so.

You can upload photos and video, or generate images and video from a prompt and keep what comes out. Generated media lands in a collection like anything else, there is no separate gallery for it, and nothing about it is public until you share it.

Generation is paid, per run, in IronCoin. Storage beyond the free allowance is a paid plan, or you can just keep your collections tidy and compact. Nothing is funded by advertising against your library, and your media is not training data.

You must be 18 or over. An account is a handle and a password, with two-factor available and recommended. There is no email address to collect and no phone number to verify.

Browsing public circles does not need an account. Everything that writes, like posting, uploading, generating, and commenting does.

ironchan is fully moderated. Reports go to a human review queue, and human moderation means a reviewer can open what was reported. Content is fairly reviewed against our TOS and taken down if it is in violation. Content that is taken down is taken down everywhere it was shared and the creator is notified.
